Come and be a part of an innovative care team on the Orthopedic Surgery and Urology Unit! We have nationally renowned urologic and urological laparoscopic gynecology surgeons. Additionally, Northside ranks in the top 10 percent of all robotic prostatectomy programs in the United States. We also have our disease specific certification in Total Hip and Knee Replacements. Be a partner in the quicker patient outcomes of the fast track and same day hip and knee replacement procedures. See your less acute patients up and moving as they are discharged anywhere from six to twenty-four hours post-surgery!
The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:
BSN degree Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.Service Area Overview
