Job Title: Staff RN I Job Description This position provides direct patient care and education for patients receiving research treatments, examinations, surgeries, etc., in a medical office according to established procedures. You will be working one-on-one with participants receiving trial treatments/procedures. Attention to detail is crucial, ability must record all patient data accurately, and follow SOP and patient care plans. Responsibilities + Utilize the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a plan of patient care. + Provide patient care, which may include administering research and/or SOC medication, performing procedures, and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice. + Provide appropriate counsel and education to patients/family regarding symptom management. + Maintain medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information. + Consult with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. + Assist the health care provider with examinations, procedures, prescription refills, and other processes related to direct patient care. + Maintain required skills and competencies and participate in educational programs, staff meetings, and in-services such as CPR as required. Essential Skills + Patient care + Blood draw + EKG + Medication administration + IV therapy Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic Life Support - American Heart Association OR Basic Life Support - American Red Cross + Missouri RN License + 2 years of Clinical/Floor Experience Work Environment Position 1: 8am to 4:30pm Position 2: 7am to 3:30pm Position 3: 9am to 5:30pm. Shifts are 8 hours long Monday to Friday.
