Job Title: Staff RN- NightsJob Description This position provides direct patient care and education for patients receiving research treatments, examinations, surgeries, etc., in a medical office according to established procedures. The role requires working one-on-one with participants receiving trials. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) line by line, ensuring all patient data is meticulously recorded. Responsibilities + Utilize the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a plan of patient care. + Provide patient care, which may include administering research and/or SOC medication, performing procedures, and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice. + Provide appropriate counsel and education to patients and their families regarding symptom management. + Maintain medical records with appropriate and timely recording of patient information. + Consult with members of the healthcare team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. + Assist the healthcare provider with examinations, procedures, prescription refills, and other processes related to direct patient care. + Maintain required skills and competencies and participate in educational programs, staff meetings, and in-services such as CPR as required. Essential Skills + Patient care + Blood draw + EKG + Medication administration + IV therapy Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Basic Life Support - American Red Cross + Registered Nurse + 2 years of clinical/floor experience Work Environment Working on the floor of the Center for Outpatient Health (COH). The schedule is from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts), rotating Monday through Thursday. There will be no work on Fridays or weekends. Alternatively, the position is open to someone willing to work overnight Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts.
