This is a full-time, 12-month position. Benefits are excellent and the salary range is competitive with peer institutions. We are seeking a clinician with demonstrated skills and investment in working with diverse student populations, and in providing effective time limited individual and group therapy as well as emergency psychological care. Staff psychologists may also have the opportunity to provide supervision within an established postdoctoral training program, and Senior Staff may have opportunities over time to provide clinical supervision to junior staff members. University Counseling Services is highly utilized with nearly 2,000 students receiving individual or group services each year. Counseling Services maintains close connections with the academic units of the university as well as with Student Affairs partners. UCS strives to provide compassionate, person-centered care for all who seek support. + Responsibilities include: + Depth oriented and skills based individual and group counseling and psychotherapy + Emergency coverage and crisis intervention + Solution focused same day therapy + Clinical consultation to faculty, staff, students, and families + Outreach and training + Supervision of post-doctoral fellows or junior staff as needed and appropriate + Collaboration with departmental psychiatric providers + Evening and weekend on-call is periodically required as a back-up to external emergency coverage. In addition, as a professional, flexibility is expected to ensure that all responsibilities and tasks are completed effectively, even if that means occasionally working beyond regular hours. Each staff member is expected to contribute to the greater goals of the division and the university. These contributions (outside of your primary work area) may include supporting division and university-wide initiatives, staffing events, and serving on committees as needed. Ability to practice independently. + Demonstrated skill and investment in working with BIPOC client populations **Desired Qualifications:** + Demonstrated knowledge and experience in understanding unique mental health needs ofstudents with one or more marginalized identities on a college campus. + Previous experience working in a University Counseling setting.
