Currently, we’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer - Test who will join one of our full-stack teams to help define, create, and deliver innovative new features that bring advanced digital advertising functionality to publishers and advertisers on the Open Web.

We are using the Scrum framework with an open-minded attitude to adapt the process to our needs.  Within the team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with developers and other SDETs focusing on different domains (both frontend and backend), as well as be a part of the QA Guild focusing on making impactful changes to our tools and processes.ResponsibilitiesInvolved in all phases of product development, starting from requirements to validation and deployment.Work in a focused and nimble team that collaborates on common problems across products and across focus areas.Own components, processes, and workflows that demand professionalism, excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.Monitor and maintain CI pipelines, and collaborate on CD enablement.Conduct root cause analysis of issues and provide solutions for better coverage and maintainability.Effectively communicate and participate as a crucial member of both the project teams and QA organization.Participate in the design and implementation of automation strategies, frameworks and infrastructure for a multitude of tests (functional, regression, load, performance, integration, etc).Work closely with QA guilds to design and create tools for more efficient testing.Set and drive coding standards for the QA guilds.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and trends in test automation and quality assurance.Requirements7+ years of test automation experienceProficiency in JavaScript, Python, or GoWillingness to work with new programming languages and technologiesAbility to improve, debug, and maintain an automation framework codebaseStrong knowledge of software development methodologies, testing techniques, and quality assurance principlesCI/CD tools like Jenkins or SpinnakerExcellent troubleshooting skills to triage complex issuesProven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of driving continuous improvement and innovation

OpenX is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For applicants in New York, New Jersey, California, and Colorado, the base salary range is $185,725-218,500 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.  The salary range may differ in other states.
