By combining market insights, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration, the Engineering organization ensures every product release meets evolving user needs and competitive demands. This team is instrumental in developing Ivanti's purpose-built platform for CIOs and CISOs powered by Ivanti Neurons - a cloud-scale, hyperautomation layer that enables proactive healing, user-friendly security across the organization and provides an enhanced user experience. What You Will Be Doing

Translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions.Utilize Angular 16 or later (or equivalent MVVM framework) for front-end development.Develop website layouts/user interfaces with standard HTML/CSS practices.Mentor junior developers.Write and maintain efficient, testable code using best practices.Integrate data from back-end services and databases.Develop and maintain test-automation suites.Stay current with industry trends and apply them to your work.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science or computer engineering.10+ years of experience in software development.Strong skills in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and optionally .NET Core.Solid understanding of web application security, session management, and best practices.Knowledge of relational databases, Object-Oriented Programming, and web development.Experience with network diagnostics and analytics tools.Understanding of SEO.Proven track record in mentoring developers and leading small teams.Proficiency in designing and implementing high-quality UI components.Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.Familiarity with UI automation frameworks like Selenium or Cypress and unit testing tools like Jest.Hands-on experience with UI/UX research and A/B testing.

Key Milestones for a Staff Level UI Engineer

First 90 Days:

Onboarding: Get acclimated with Ivanti's tools, processes, and team members. Familiarize yourself with the existing codebase, development workflow, and key projects.Independent Project: Take ownership of a key project, from devising the solution to executing it independently. This will involve understanding the requirements, designing the solution, implementing the code, and completing the necessary testing.

First 6 Months:

Technical Leadership: Transition into a tech lead role within the team. Responsibilities will include unblocking developers by providing guidance and solutions, identifying and addressing problems in the existing codebase, conducting code reviews, and designing new components.Customer Escalations: Work on customer escalations to understand and resolve critical issues, ensuring high-quality solutions are delivered in a timely manner.Innovation: Propose and develop innovative ideas or side projects that could potentially enhance the product, improve internal processes, or add new features. Encourage experimentation and creativity within the team.

First 12 Months:

Strategic Contributions: Write design documents outlining the future course of the product, detailing new features, improvements, and architectural changes. Lead the execution of these plans to drive product growth and innovation.Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor junior developers, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and foster a collaborative environment. Participate in cross-functional projects to align with broader company goals.Innovation Execution: Execute the innovative ideas developed in the first six months, bringing them to fruition and integrating successful innovations into the product or workflow. Measure and showcase the impact of these innovations.
