The Role
Digital Products Engineering (DPE) Commerce enables commerce between General Motors, GM Dealers, and consumers. From online vehicle shopping to service scheduling to buying parts, accessories, and digital experiences, DPE Commerce focuses on every phase of commerce.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Staff Salesforce Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-level Salesforce solutions. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to define the technical vision, ensure high-quality implementations, and drive continuous improvement in our Salesforce ecosystem. As a Staff Salesforce Engineer, you will guide technical teams, mentor engineers, and play a key role in influencing the overall technical strategy of the organization.
What You'll Do:
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.7+ years of experience in Salesforce development.Extensive experience with Salesforce platform development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, etc.).Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale Salesforce solutions, including integrations with external systems.Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including data modeling, governor limits, and security features.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.Strong analytical skills with a focus on user-centered design solutions.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project needs.Familiarity with DevOps practices and Salesforce deployment tools (e.g., Salesforce DX, Copado, GitHub).Strong knowledge of Salesforce security and compliance protocols.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
7+ years of experience in Salesforce development and 5+ years in a senior or leadership role.Experience in Salesforce CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or other Salesforce products.Certifications:Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or equivalent certification strongly preferred.Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or IISalesforce Certified Application or System Architect is a plus.Compensation:
The expected base compensation for this role is: $165,500 and $298,800. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
