As a Staff Strategic Sourcing Manager at Lytx, you will be responsible for building and implementing commodity sourcing strategies for Lytx’s key hardware components. This person will work closely with cross functional stakeholders to develop, align, and implement comprehensive commodity strategies to support current and future hardware products. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will also be responsible for negotiating price and contracts with vendors, as well as evaluating new and potential suppliers. The successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced, high-growth company and will drive the ongoing development and improvement of the Procurement team and the delivery and support of our products and services.
Responsibilities:
Develop, align, and implement commodity strategies that guide the sourcing for Lytx hardware.
Assure that Lytx supply base has industry leading cost, strong contractual positions, minimal supply risk, and high quality suppliers.
Lead a cross functional process that identifies and mitigates forward looking risks to cost, quality, and assurance of supply. Manage the risk mitigation strategy across the commodity supply chain.
Partner with Engineering and key stakeholders to lead the end-to-end sourcing selection process for critical commodities. Identification, qualification, and selection of new suppliers; preparation and execution of RFQ and competitive bidding events; creation and evaluation of complex business cases; leading contract negotiations and compliance.
Lead and pro-actively conduct market analysis/benchmarking, should cost analysis, track market trends and emerging technologies, and risk management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management, MBA preferred.
7+ years experience in commodity management or strategic sourcing role.
Experience negotiating cost, contracts, and managing technology-based supplier relationships at an executive level.
Demonstrated record of developing and implementing sourcing strategies.
Experience in cost analysis, risk mitigation planning, and industry benchmarking analysis.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, with strong networking, influencing, and communication skills. Able build and drive effective strategy execution.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills inclusive of all Microsoft Business Suite required (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint).
Ability to travel domestically and internationally 30% of time
