STAFF SUPPORT COORDINATOR - WEEKEND OPTION
JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Graduation from a college or university preferred. Qualifying experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Experience Proficient in Word processing, databases and spreadsheet software. Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating with all ages, good interpersonal and phone skills. Must have the ability to work independently without supervision, have the ability to perform multiple tasks, have strong decision making skills and be self-directed. Physical Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Lifting, carrying up to 40 lbs. Must have the ability to concentrate on fine detail with some interruption. Uses computer, copy machine, overhead projector, and VCR. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and reaching. This is a safety sensitive position. JOB SUMMARY The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a well-organized, informed Staff Support Department, as well as performing secretarial duties. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for placing Staffing Support personnel in the appropriate nursing area to fulfill staffing requirements as related to patient census. The Staffing Support Coordinator will work closely with each manager to ensure that staffing needs are met. The Staffing Coordinator is a professional who will assist in maintaining, monitoring, and motivating employees in the hospital to meet both department specific and hospital-wide goals. This person must be a good team player, have excellent writing and oral communication skills.
