Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Using sound test engineering principles, knowledge of the product and technology to ensure the product meets functional and customer requirements and is ready to ship on scheduleOwns product validation regarding test plan definition, test plan execution, and primary lead in failure analysisPrimary lead in performing performance characterization of product and tracking down any observed anomaliesContributes to overall test schedule developmentWrites the test plans for new product features, generates test matrices, test reports, and other relevant test documentation that is required for flawless program executionDefines new tests based on customer feedback and defect fixesExecutes existing/regression test cases for the project during the entire product development cycleWorks closely with the other system test, hardware, ASIC and firmware engineers to improve test methodology and develop new tests and new strategiesConfigures customer hardware and software systems; troubleshoot problems to get to root causeMaintains customer and test equipment to current revision

REQUIRED

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, other related discipline and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Storage/Networking

SKILLS:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong protocol knowledge in one or more of the following areas: TCP/IP, SCSI, Ethernet, RDMA protocols & PCIeExperience in performance analysis techniques with a penchant for root cause analysis of anomaliesKnowledge and experience with Linux and WindowsKnowledge and experience writing scripts in PythonAbility to operate and interpret PCIe/NVMe/Ethernet tracesProven track record with writing detailed test plansExcellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking to test and validate hardwareTeam-Player, can-do attitude and will work well in a group environment while still being able to contribute on an individual basis.
