Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Systems Engineer Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
**Position Overview:**
The selected Staff Systems Engineer Analyst will work on the Modeling and Simulation – Framework (MASC-F) program with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and developers.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Analyzing requirements via Interface Design Documents and translating these into technical specifications.
+ Designing, implementing, and maintaining systems or software to meet customer needs.
+ Provide technical contributions towards software products, processes, and procedures.
+ Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure system integration and performance.

**Basic Qualifications for a Staff Systems Engineer are:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 10 years of related experience, or 8 years of experience with a PhD.
+ Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS
+ Python experience or similar technology.
+ Have MDA system experience.
+ Experience with Jupyter Notes or similar technology.
+ Applicants must have the ability to work full time onsite
+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
+ Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Interface experience (knowledge of the phenomenology transferred to elements, GTISS knowledge)
+ Technical depth knowledge with at least one sensor (RF or EOIR)
+ Able to do technical briefing at high levels
+ Able to understand 6-DOF trajectory analysis
+ Real-Time understanding (blocking calls and semaphore impacts)
+ TCP/IP and Unicast understanding
+ Core Truth Model experience
+ Agile Scrum
+ Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $244,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
