Staff Technical Program Manager - System Prototypes

Role Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in new and ambiguous situations which demand innovative problem solving techniques. In this role, you will collaborate with Development and Validation teams to lead the strategy, build and commissioning of electrically representative vehicle prototypes, and ensure their delivery to support program development goals. You will also play a critical role in aligning deliverables with stakeholders, and ensuring readiness for upcoming milestones. This is a highly centralized role within the organization, you will be a strong advocate and example of collaboration across development teams within and outside of the organization while solving complex programmatic challenges. Responsibilities Spearhead generation of specifications, timeline and relative criticality of all prototypes required for the next generation of development. Facilitate cross-functional alignment by providing regular updates, anticipating resource needs, and addressing any blockers that could impact automated testing and validation. Lead tracking of all devices for prototypes from internal and external sources, ensuring clear visibility to stakeholders on late or unrepresentative devices. Collaborate with Development and Validation teams to establish and adhere to asset bring-up timelines and raise visibility on critical issues discovered. Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive reports to track progress across key deliverables, including team contributions, dependencies, and project milestones. Create and maintain dashboards to monitor asset utilization, automated test suite performance, and testing progress based on the latest software releases (across vehicle, factory, and contract manufacturing environments). Track and report asset downtime, proactively notifying stakeholders of any limitations or risks to ensure contingency plans are in place and reduce project impact. Track and manage team deliverables across all brands, facilitating alignment and readiness for automated testing across various programs. Conduct projections of asset needs in alignment with vehicle milestones across all programs, collaborating with development teams to prepare for and validate upcoming features. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field 8+ years of experience managing complex, cross functional programs 5+ years of experience working with Software and Hardware Ability to thrive under pressure and apply creative and critical thinking to deliver exceptional results Good team player with excellent communication- able to convey both detailed explanations and high level status updates and know when each is appropriate Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $154,000 - $192,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
