Job Description SummaryThis role is well suited for a highly motivated, growth-oriented leader responsible for driving both operational excellence and leading the execution of the various initiatives for the Project Execution Domain for GE Vernova Electrification Systems. You will interact closely with the Business Leaders, Business Operational & PMO Teams and Digital Teams. This role will require significant experience in project & program execution along with strong Project Execution process knowledge, as well as knowledge of modern day PPM’s like Oracle Primavera Unifier and scheduling tools like P6 Product knowledge. You will work closely with internal and external partners and the vendor teams to define priorities for the team and support them in their smooth execution.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Be responsible to drive operational excellence in Support by coordinating between vendor teams and business stakeholdersCollaborate with DT leadership and Business teams in defining future technology & application landscape.Work with Business partners and cross-functional leads to understand business requirements, create solution proposals and specification documentationProvide valuable feedback, guidance to the different teams and methodical approach to project execution and issues resolutionEnsure the successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilitiesManage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the duration of the initiatives you leadProvide Project planning, Milestone management, Scope management, Resource forecasting, Change Management across the project portfolioIdentify business and technology trends and evaluates their impact on the domain solution portfolioTranslates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable requirementsExpert in Agile & Scrum Methodologies.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)10+ years of professional experience in Technical Product Management/Agile SW Project Management OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in Technical Product Management/Agile SW Project ManagementShould be willing to travel (<10%).Desired Characteristics:
Good understanding of discrete manufacturing and EPC businessesGood understanding of EPC Business project management needs and methodologiesSubject matter expertise in modern day PPM’s and Scheduling enginesAbility to manage ambiguity and drive consensusStrong knowledge of Software Development lifecycleExperience working in Agile environmentKnowledge about DevOps processes and structures.Business Insights:
Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate options and approaches to solving problemsSkilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating effortsSkilled in negotiation to align partners and communicate a single synthesized perspective to drive prioritization.
