If so, you will be designing state-of-the-art concepts while delivering innovative and affordable capabilities in a new and emerging area of protecting US space assets. You will be responsible for applying interactive and visual design principles contributing to a positive and cohesive user experience.

Our UI/UX software engineers leverage modern languages, tools, and processes to ensure efficiency and quality. We utilize JavaScript, LitElement, HTML, and CSS, to create a front-end that interacts with a microservice architecture comprised of highly performant services that model orbital mechanics, solve critical optimization problems and process large scale data ingest & aggregation. Additionally, we utilize Node.js and RESTful services to effectively track, evaluate, and maintain user actions.

We pride ourselves in providing an elegant, engaging, and intuitive user experience following Google's Material Design guidelines. We build custom web components and use the latest web platform standards including web components APIs. Our 2D and 3D virtual map/globe visualization using Cesium allows our users to quickly ingest and understand near real-time space situational awareness data.

Following core DevSecOps principles enables us to rapidly develop and deliver fully functioning mission capability to end users securely and continuously. Our team leverages industry standard open-source software solutions including Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher. Our automation-first and “everything as code” mindset allows our software engineers to focus their time and efforts on what is most important - building cutting edge functionality for our users!

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile Development Methodologies

• Software Engineering/User Interface Engineering

In order to meet the requirements of the program, the selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
