MAJOR FUNCTION:
Non-licensed person who performs clerical and communication functions in the Resource Office. Review monthly schedules and coordinates the staffing daily on all units to maintain adequate coverage.

High School or equivalent required. Previous experience with staffing and payroll preferred.Certifications/ Licensure:

Familiar with medical terminology and a background in communications and writing skills. Maintains emotional stability and calm disposition and has the ability to relate to all levels of professionals. Ability to work flexible schedule. Ability to work with frequent interruptions. Physical stamina required for walking, standing, and leaning over. Able to sit for long periods of rime when performing clerical duties. Must have sufficient eyesight and motor coordination for data entry, PC use, and typing.Position Responsibilities
Staffing Function:
Prepares 24-hour daily staffing schedule transcribed from the 4-week schedule prepared by the PCC.Staffing Functions are completed accurately, on time, and within the prescribed feedback loop:
Daily Staffing. Supports/maintains daily schedules. Communicates changes t PCC/Managers, Supervisors and Directors as necessary. Records call-offs and callouts in the system and on the daily staffing sheets. Communicates changes to floors/supervisors 100% of the time.Communicates and coordinates staffing with Nursing Administration:
Staffing is accomplished for the hospital on a continual basis to simultaneously fill all needs. Consults with PCC/Managers or shift coordinator to assess bed availability, census, relative acuity, admissions, discharges and transports to determine best solutions for appropriate staffing. Must be done at least twice per shift. Understands, communicates and upholds all staffing policies. Variances/Staffing grids are approved by Director. Coordinates patient care services and transports with other departments according to procedure and policy when appropriate.Performs payroll for floats and per diems for final approval by Director, Nursing Services.
Understands and enforces all payroll policies.Maintains computerized records of all staffing transactions.
Assists with technical issues, by documenting equipment failure, software problems, response-time issues, and escalating these to the correct party. This must be done 98% of the time, and within 1 hour of problem- identification:
