Staffing Specialist

Position Summary

 

The Staffing Specialist will work with the Staffing and Labor Management team in daily staffing resource management and allocation, as well as data collection. The Staffing Specialist will assist with ensuring appropriate staffing assignments and streamlining staffing practices while maintaining efficient use of scheduling software.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education           

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

 

Experience        

Proficient in Microsoft Office computer systems such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

 

License/Registration/Certifications       

N/A

 

Preferred Requirements

 

Preferred Education      

Associate degree preferred.

 

Preferred Experience   

Previous experience with timekeeping Previous experience with departmental scheduling

Core Job Responsibilities

 

Staffing and scheduling data collection. Creates and updates daily staffing reports for Staffing and Labor Management Office. Maintains knowledge of current scheduling software. Timekeeping adjustments in UKG. Collaboration with nursing administration to ensure safe staffing assignments. Compile and present staffing plan for staffing huddles each shift. Collaborates with Nursing Administrative Supervisor for daily staffing updates and concerns and capacity management. Day-to-day resource allocation. Manage call-ins from associates. Collaborates with Charge Nurses, Nurse Managers, and Nurse Directors to ensure that as individuals are floated to other areas that the individual is competent to deliver care. Manages on call utilization.
