Team Overview and Job Responsibilities
Our Group AFC function is looking for an intern who will join the Administration team and support on the following activities:
Assist the team with general administrative tasks as required.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger including the preparation, verification, and input of journal entries.
Participate in selected General Ledger accounting activities to enable local and group accounting and statutory financial requirements to be met.
Manage billing Core and No Core invoice release.
Bank reconciliation.
Support in the management (creation, periodic depreciation and disposal) of fixed assets process.
Support timely effective books closing ensuring respect of Group closing calendar.
Support accounting managers and team members on arising accounting issues or anomalies promptly highlighting them.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing, and annual financial statement audit.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.
Support the team with project management and process improvement initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
Desired skills and experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics studying economics or comparable;
Basic understanding of financial statements and financial analysis;
IT skills: MS Office in particular Excel, experience with accounting software such as SAP (FI, SD) is considered a plus;
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask;
Attitude for team-working and capability to work independently and as part of a team;
Fluent in English. Other European languages, for example German, French, and Spanish, are highly appreciated;
Eagerness to learn quickly and take initiative;
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
