Stamping Engineering Supervisor

Lead a dynamic engineering team that has responsibility for Stamping Press Automation across 12 North American plants consisting of 55-60 press lines ranging from progressive to XL tandem lines. Develop business plans to keep assets viable and relevant to support cycle plan, having the ability to forecast need 5 to 10 years in advance.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor if Science Degree preferred or equivalent experience Honesty and integrity are highly valued in our organization. Understands Energy Control and Power Lockout and risk assessment process in equipment design and operation. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be willing to travel internationally and domestically, sometimes for extended periods of time AutoCAD Catia and Teamcenter  Proficient in Microsoft project and Microsoft Office Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Project

What you'll do

Engineering new stamping automation equipment (destackers, interpress, end-of-line and scrap system) and providing support to Stamping plants for critical maintenance and refurbishments. Equipment Design analysis including layout for maintainability, foundations, and electrical/mechanical installations. Maintain and update technical specifications standards for new equipment, improvements and repairs. Review risk assessments concurrently with multiple suppliers and plant engineering during design/build Estimate budget and secure quotes for investment studies. Establish and maintain master schedule with technical assistance and plant labor coordination. Manage purchase orders. Support emergency breakdowns (calls after hours/weekends sometimes are expected).  Review analysis of failures and interpret test results and review final failure reports (8D’s) for accuracy. Review and approve FEA analysis on automation components.  Provide on-site support during installations releases at the plants, this could be for extended periods of time up to one year. Develop and review installation plans including bid package preparation for contractor installations. Learn and execute Ford Safety process: Risk Assessments, Safety Pre-task Analysis, PROTAG, and ECPL Review and manage project budgets and use Ford financial reporting systems (Ariba & PFR). Maintain and update equipment records.
