Quanex is looking for a Stamping Manufacturing Engineer to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota.
In this role you are responsible for providing technical engineering interface with Design Engineers, tooling suppliers, quality assurance, purchasing, management, and shop floor personnel. You will also be responsible for effective tool design, capital equipment selection, department layout design and manufacturing safety for the Punch Press department.

Design and improve tooling and equipment for the stamping and machining departments. Analyze production issues related to stamping tooling and processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and safety. Create clear product documentation and application notes to communicate effectively with production and the Tool Room. Prepare accurate cost estimates for tooling, equipment, and parts. Work with production teams to modify tooling and equipment for optimal productivity.What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred. 2-year Tool and Die degree/certificate and drafting degree/certificate preferred. 3-5 years’ experience in a Tool Room environment, with knowledge of stamping process and tooling preferred. Proficient in 3D CAD software. Ability to multi-task, effectively communicate, and strong teamwork skills.The range for the annual salary is $87,000 to $110,000 with potential to earn an annual bonus.
