What You'll Do Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture Effectively communicate with others about possible production issues, concerns, and needs Troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others Ability to read roll and guide drawings as necessary Assist rolling mill employees with product changeover, and with troubleshooting of mill stands and guides that are in-service Become proficient with measuring equipment and techniques and properly use these to assist in building, changing and maintaining stands, guide boxes and loopers and to maintain proper Rolling Mill settings that ensure a quality product Clean and inspect mill stands and guides that are returned to the shop from the mill floor Conduct thorough inspection of mill stands, guides and all associated equipment as per drawings and standards in order to determine needed repairs Assist maintenance personnel when requested/needed What You'll Need Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude Experience working with and maintaining welding machines hydraulic equipment, mechanical equipment, pneumatic equipment, and cooling systems preferred Good math, verbal, mechanical and analytical skills Mechanical systems, gearboxes, wheels, couplings, and structure Minimum of three years experience with an industrial mechanical setting. Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to details and find root causes for issues Ability to work flexible hours and be available as needed by the business Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work with exposure to inside and outside temperatures, loud noise, heights, and confined spaces Your Education High School Diploma or GED preferred
