Stand-Up Forklift Operator (Friday- Sunday)
Position SummaryThe Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment to include: receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and picking of products to support Plant operations. Maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures. Responsible for keeping warehouse area organized. Must have stand-up forklift and RF scan gun experience.
Shift Schedule: Friday - Sunday Shift Hours: 4:00AM - 5:30PM Compensation: $18/hr. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited toEfficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as neededMust be able to operate stand up forkliftUtilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipmentsSafely climb in and out of trailersLift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently)Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slipperySafely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties Verify and complete required documentation and reportsAdhere to company safety policies Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline orientedSafely work in cold weather conditionsRequired Skills and Experience2-4 years' prior forklift experienceStand up forklift experienceMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to speak/read/write in English fluentlyGood basic math skillsPreferred Skills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDPhysical RequirementsRegularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and armsFrequently required to stand, communicate, and listenOccasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouchOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsVisual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAble to perform repetitive movementsAble to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)Company Overview
