**This positions' onsite interview will be held in Temple on Wednesday afternoon, January 15th.** **JOB SUMMARY** The Standardized Patient (SP) PRN is responsible for the consistent and accurate portrayal of an actual medical condition or disease including patient's history, physical findings, personality, and behavior—in a non-punitive learning environment. SPs serve as a patient, teacher, and evaluator. They offer the learner a chance to practice repeatedly in a safe, controlled, and realistic atmosphere with nonjudgmental feedback. **WORK MODEL** 100% Onsite **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE** Delivers accurately memorized case details in the predetermined manner Evaluates learners on professionalism, as well as physical examination and communication skills; both in formative and summative environments. Including high-stakes examinations. Portrays realistic affects consistent with case specifications Facilitates debriefs and provides collaborative verbal feedback to learners Maintains professionalism and effective communication and interpersonal skills, while demonstrating flexibility and reliability with scheduling and assignments Participates in advanced learning workshops and training sessions Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner. **KEY SUCCESS FACTORS** Knowledge of SP terminology, and skills and practices pertinent to an SP.
