Hiring Unit:
Ingram School of Nursing

Position Summary:

The Ingram School of Nursing is seeking Standardized Patients who are trained or have experience in the dramatic arts. The Standardized Patient recreates accurately and consistently the history of a patient, family member of patient or other persons in a specific scenario. Will assist in the training of individuals studying at the Ingram School of Nursing. Standardized Patients (SPs) will be coached to accurately and consistently recreate the history of an actual patient in a specific scenario. In addition, SPs will be coached and trained on providing directed feedback pertinent to the scenario and exercise at hand.

Standardized Patients are expected to respect rules and regulations of the Ingram School of Nursing and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

High School Diploma with one year of relevant experience in the dramatic arts.

Good communication skills. Bilingualism and experience in performance are assets. The ability to speak openly and constructively. Individuals who can follow instruction and are able to prepare material autonomously. The ability to work with sensitive matters in a professional and mature fashion. Flexible work schedules.

The Ingram School of Nursing is actively seeking persons of Indigenous ancestry for this position as lived experience as an Indigenous person is essential for some scenarios.

Start Date: ASAP - (with possibility of extension)

Rates:

Performance: $22.03/hour

Video Production: $28.53/hour

Hours will be flexible and variable.

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 on a scale of 0-4.
