Job Summary: State Fair Booth Team
The Minnesota Star Tribune is looking for several individuals to join our State Fair Booth Team August 21 through September 1, plus a four-hour training session prior to the August Fair. Tasks will include selling Minnesota Star Tribune merchandise, interacting with fairgoers, assisting customers with the subscription sign up process, maintaining newspaper racks and keeping the booth and surrounding area clean.
We are looking for people who:
Have great customer service skills. Enjoy interacting with Minnesota Star Tribune readers and fans. Can work doing sales in a counter-high booth for up to 6 hours/day. Can work a minimum of 10 days during the 12-day run of the August Fair, including weekends. Can cover shifts that start at 8:45 a.m. and run as late as 9:30 p.m. Have the ability to lift 20-40 lbs. (newspaper bundles and merchandise boxes). Are at least 18 years of age. Can work independently and in a team environment. Have great communication skills. Salary/Wage Range
$16.50 / hour
Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
