State Manager - Architectural Specification
About this role
Our Client is an industry leader in high level architectural paneling and interior Acoustic Products, working largely across the commercial, education, healthcare, sports and rec and corporate sectors. Meticulously crafted products that have a sculptural, artistic aspect, they are experts with deep connections in the A&D industry.

Due to growth within the company, they are seeking a dynamic Hands-On State Manager to lead a small sales team in Melbourne. You will lead by example generating your own sales, conducting business development, and building client relationships at a senior level. If you have leadership and senior level sales experience, a passion for design and knowledge of the Architecture & Design industry, this role could be for you!

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Develop and retain a high performing sales team of 3-5
•    Work with team to generate sales across all areas of the Architectural and Specifier Market
•    Foster new and existing client relationships with architects, designers, builders and contractors
•    Meet/exceed own sales budget and KPI's
•    Grow and nurture a strong project specification pipeline
•    Increase sales productivity by consistently reviewing, improving and simplifying the sales process

Skills & Experience:
•    10 years’ experience in a senior sales or BDM role, and experience within the A&D industry 
•    Ability to inspire, mentor and motivate others
•    A hunter mentality, and a passion for closing deals
•    An energetic, enthusiastic, initiating and can-do approach
•    A strong interest in design and architecture
•    Well-developed organisational and planning skills
•    Being technically minded and able to problem solve on projects
