Internship opportunity tracks include Portfolio Management, Research, Sustainable Investments, and Portfolio Strategy roles. Internship opportunities are available in our Boston MA and Stamford CT locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific responsibilities you will have as an intern vary depending on both on the selected role as well as the specific investment team you are assigned to.
- As a Portfolio Management Intern, you will support PM's and Analysts in one or more of the following: analyzing investment opportunities, analyzing portfolio exposures and performance, rebalancing portfolios, evaluating tactical investment decisions, and assisting with product development research.
- As a Research Analyst Intern, you will work on research projects seeking to improve return and risk forecasting models, enhance portfolio construction and risk management processes, develop new investment strategies and/or pursue green field investment ideas. Some roles will be oriented towards candidates with interests and qualifications for quantitative research, while other Research Analyst Intern positions will be more fundamentally focused.
- As a Portfolio Strategy Intern, you will work on building portfolio summaries, monitoring portfolios, performance, and attribution analysis, creating reports for risk analysis, understanding client parameters and monitoring.
- As a Sustainable Investments Intern, you will support our equity stewardship activities. You will work closely with our Portfolio Management, Portfolio Strategists and Sustainable Investments strategy teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
All candidates irrespective of track of interests should possess or exhibit:
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to execute independently yet also maintain strong team orientation
- Passion for investment management, embrace teamwork, and possess high-end interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
Additional desired qualifications for each internship track are:
Portfolio Management and Portfolio Strategy Roles
- Currently enrolled in a top MBA program or undergraduate studies with a focus in a finance-related discipline, targeting graduation in 2025 (or December 2024)
- Investment management industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with financial software and databases (e.g. FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar/Ibbotson, eVestment Alliance)
- Well-developed quantitative skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Research Analyst Roles
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in progress, targeting graduation in 2025 (or December 2024), in a quantitative field from an accredited college or university
- For quantitative research positions- strong skills and interest/passion in coding (experience in R, Python, Matlab and/or SQL preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical aptitude
- Investment management industry experience preferred
Sustainable Investments Roles
- Currently enrolled in a top MBA program or undergraduate studies with a focus in a finance-related discipline, targeting graduation in 2025 (or December 2024)
- Strong interest in the financial markets, sustainable investing, and investment product strategy
- A problem-solving, strategic mindset, coupled with an ability to pick up complex concepts quickly
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communications skills with an engaging personality
- Hands on orientation, with the willingness to perform detailed tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Salary Range:
$15,600 - $58,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
