Station Manager, SXM Based (ANU, SKB)
How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) + This individual will be based in SXM and accountable for managing the day-to-day ACS and Cargooperations in SXM, ANU, SKB ensuring a safe and secure operation modeledagainst Delta's vision and values. STM SXM will report to the Field Director,ACS Caribbean and will maintain and establish cross-divisional partnershipswith Maintenance, Flight Operations, Human Resources, IT, Properties andFacilities, Finance, Contractors and Process Engineering teams in a strategicmanner to achieve key performance targets (ACS and CGO KPIs) while providing arole model for local employees. + The Position is responsible for the strategic implementationof process workflows that will lead to continuous improvement throughout theoperation as measured by established operational metrics. + This position promotes team building through motivationaland directional coaching, broadening employees’ vision while developing theirexpertise. + This manager position is responsible for all Environmentalstandards, regulations, customs and compliance requirements. Guarantees allregulatory security measures are fully complied with. + Must be able to build effective business partnerships withDelta's outside contractors/business partners, vendors, customers, OALs, and SXM,SKB, ANU airport. + Helps to develop and implements annual strategy plans forcargo and mail volume, ground handling revenue targets, OJI improvements,productivity measurements and team building. + This position interacts with internal personnel requiringcooperation with various personalities and with all levels of management andnon-management personnel. + Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create asafety conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Candidate must have work authorization to live and work in the Caribbean Island, St. Maarten at the time of application. **DELTA DOES NOT SPONSOR.** + Excellent command of English is required (written and verbal), and Dutch This to say English and Dutch together + This position requires a working knowledge of DL Term andMicrosoft Office Suite. + Candidate must be willing to work long hours as needed. + Must possess strong customer service skills and a keenunderstanding of safety and compliance. Critical thinking and problem-solvingskills required for effective service recovery. + Candidate must be able to manage to a large financialbudget. Should exhibit strong organizational skills as well as possess a highlevel of sales and public contact experience, including strategic thinking,solid decision making, and ability to balance multiple priorities in afast-paced environment, solid customer focus, strong planning, relationship,and organizational skills. + Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.Must also set high standards of performance for self and others and must beable to guide others in adhering to these standards. Additionally, candidatemust have the ability to identify, evaluate and refine functional results toimprove the customer experience. Should facilitate the implementation andacceptance of change within the workplace. + Understanding of the business unit, Operations and salesprocess or similar experience within the cargo industry is preferred. Clearunderstanding of operating and planning process is a must. + Must be performing satisfactorily in current position. + Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles. + Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others,the priority. + High School diploma or equivalent. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + Bachelor's degree preferred. Must possess top-tieranalytical and conceptual skills as well as communication, interpersonal andpresentation skills. + Must have ability to initiate and manage multiple projectssimultaneously and to leverage resources across all divisions at Delta. + Industry and operational knowledge and experience is arequirement. + Technical skills in PowerPoint, Excel and database queryingpreferred.
