Statistical Programmer - Bioinformatics (Remote)

Current Statistical Programmer needs are focused on supporting bioinformatics research initiatives. Key roles and responsibilities include the following: + Interact and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, under the direction of project team leads + Familiarity with programming languages and techniques (e.g., R, python, bash scripting) + Familiarity with high performance and cloud computing environments + Contribute to project deliverables by critically reviewing and preparing data for data processing, analysis, and/or summarization + Demonstrate strengths in organization, documentation, logical and systematic thinking, written and oral communication + Perform tasks with strong problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail focusing on delivering high quality results + Manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines + Work independently and remotely as well as in a team environment + Seek educational opportunities and share knowledge within teams to enhance professional development **Qualifications** Note: A complete application includes a cover letter, resume, and academic transcripts. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a major in bioinformatics, computer science, or related quantitative degrees is required. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential. Preferred qualifications include applied experience and/or coursework in programming (e.g., R, python), bioinformatics, and data analysis; commitment to customer service; basic knowledge of human physiology, genetics, and medical terminology; interest in professional growth and continuing education; and a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
