The Department of Data Science at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is conducting a search for a Master’s level Biostatistician. This person will collaborate with medical and basic science researchers and other biostatisticians in study design, analysis, and publication of cancer studies (including but not limited to Phase I, II or III clinical trials), translational and basic science research in oncology. We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers, and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals. + Responsible for statistical aspects of study/experiment design, identification of appropriate tests and models, data analysis and visualization, assuring quality of data alongside an ability to communicate effectively with collaborators and other team members. + Develop and maintains analysis codes with all required annotations and documentation, ensuring reproducibility of results and usability by other statisticians and team members. + Responsible for contributing to clinical and scientific reports, grant developments, progress reports, publications, and presentations at scientific conferences. + Works independently and collaborates with a multidisciplinary research team of data scientists, investigators and other collaborators across multiple projects. + Master’s degree in Statistics or Biostatistics; or in the field of Data Science or a related quantitative or computational field with significant concentration of coursework in statistics/biostatistics. + Experience in study and experimental design in medical and/or biomedical research. + Ability to draft plans to identify and resolve data errors and inconsistencies and perform quality control of data and programs. + Ability to prioritize assignments, multi-task, and make decisions based upon sound principles of statistical theory and data analytic techniques. + Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS. + Familiarity with version control tools such as Git/GitHub. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
