Role: The Associate Technician is a working position responsible for aiding in the production and output of the Steel Division on a day-to-day basis.  The Steel Division is a Job Shop environment, so duties may vary.
This is a highly visible position in a fast growth division.
Responsibilities: Operate within the steel fabrication work cell to produce the required parts. Set-up of any plant floor production work cells related to the metal fabrication cell as directed Is an ambassador of safety.  Protects self and others from hazards.  Proactively reduces risk of injury. Continuing education of all Trumpf software pertaining to the metal fabrication business Producing products as required Ensuring adherence to all quality and safety policies and processes at plant floor level Ensuring quality, timing, and labor targets are met for all products produced by PG&A Troubleshoot any issues that arise in the steel fabrication work cell, and work to correct. Other duties as required Required knowledge, skills and abilities: The desire to excel as part of a start-up division where everyone shares in the work to achieve success An understanding of manufacturing techniques used by the steel fabrication machinery Ability to become proficient with work cell and ERP Software Excellent problem-solving skills Strong written and oral communication skills Team oriented/collaboration skills Strong attention to detail
