Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree completed by August 1, 2025 Licensed School Counselor in Ohio or able to obtain alternative license by August 1, 2025 Excellent written and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Two or more years experience as an elementary school counselor Essential Functions and percent of time: Academic – 40%
• Conduct Individual meetings with students and parents
• Prepare and deliver classroom lessons based on determined needs
• Participate in team meetings with teachers

Individual and Small Group Counseling – 30%
• Conduct individual counseling with students/parents
• Serve as consultant to teachers and other staff members
• Plan and lead small group counseling sessions

Administrative Support and Program Development – 15%

Testing and Analysis – 10%
• Support the administrators with organization and administration of state and other standardized testing

Professional/Program Development – 5%
• Pursue continuous growth through attendance at regional conferences; read professional journals; take post-graduate courses
• In conjunction with the middle and high school counselors and administration, plan and evaluate the school counseling program, grades K-12

Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd): Non-Essential Functions and percent of time: Working Conditions Length of contract is one year contingent upon funding. Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.

This position is State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) eligible.
