Faculty Rank or Job Title STEM School Middle School Teacher - Math Job Category: Faculty/Instructional Department College of Health, Education and Human Services EEO number: 25Y105 Position FTE 100% Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate Negotiable Salary Band: FA NA Job Summary/Basic Function: The Dayton Regional STEM School seeks an effective and creative Middle School Math teacher to join an existing school faculty and staff for the 2025-2026 school year. The curriculum will include collaboratively designed project-based learning units that connect to multiple disciplines and/or real-life issues. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree by August 1, 2025
• Teaching license or alternative license secured by August 1, 2025
• Outstanding communication and collaborative skills Preferred Qualifications • Ability to integrate technology into the classroom
• Experience working with middle school students
• Master’s degree or master’s level coursework
• Project based teaching experience Essential Functions and percent of time: ~Plan and deliver course instruction for middle school students – 75%
~Collaborate with other teachers to develop and refine content & materials for courses – 20%
~Participate in various meetings (including IEPs, conferences, etc.) and professional development opportunities – 5% Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd): Non-Essential Functions and percent of time: Working Conditions This is a grant funded position with continuation dependent on funding.
