Shift Flexible, Monday-Friday Job Summary UK Healthcare Billing Customer Service seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Temporary Self-Pay Follow-Up Specialist to assist with reminder calls to patients regarding their self-pay billing obligations. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring patients remain informed about their account status and payment options, contributing to the organization’s overall financial health.
Responsibilities Patient Communication: Make outbound reminder calls to patients with outstanding self-pay balances. Account Review: Verify patient account information and ensure accurate communication of payment details. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by answering patient questions and directing them to appropriate resources as needed. Documentation: Accurately record call outcomes and update patient account records in the billing system. Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and all organizational policies regarding patient confidentiality and billing procedures. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Billing Customer Service team to address account-related concerns and escalate complex issues.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Previous experience in healthcare billing, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
