 40  Job Summary The University of Kentucky Intercollegiate Debate Program, housed within the College of Communication and Information, seeks a full-time International Outreach 
 
 Coordinator to support its mission of expanding middle and high school speech and debate opportunities worldwide. This position involves designing and implementing curriculum and training materials tailored to international audiences, engaging with students, educators, and administrators, and fostering relationships with global stakeholders. The International Outreach Coordinator will represent the University of Kentucky Debate Program at workshops, seminars, and conferences, promoting the growth and sustainability of debate programs globally. Extensive travel is required to support outreach efforts and strengthen partnerships across diverse regions.
 
 In addition to international outreach, this position will assist the Associate Director for Tournament Administration in managing day-to-day tournament operations and support local and regional initiatives to expand the program’s impact. Responsibilities include participating in tournament planning, logistics, and outreach events to ensure the smooth execution of programs and activities. 


Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.

 Curriculum development and instructional design expertise for speech and debate programs.

 Organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

 Event planning and logistical coordination, especially for tournaments or large-scale events.

 In-depth understanding of middle and high school speech and debate formats.

 Knowledge of tournament operations, including tabulation, scheduling, and event management.

 Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with educators, administrators, and organizational partners.

 Adaptability to work effectively in cross-cultural and multilingual environments.

 Willingness and capability to travel extensively for outreach and tournament-related responsibilities  Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
