Sterile Process Technician I-FT-Surgical Services-
Acting as a resource to the operating room staff, the Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the cleaning & sterilization processes including decontamination, assembly, packaging and the biological and chemical monitoring of the sterilizers. Responsible for requisitioning all autoclaving supplies, instruments and implantable devices used in the daily operation of the Sterile Services Department. Completion of a program in Sterile Processing is strongly preferred. Must be able to read and write the equivalent of eighth grade English. **Experience:** Two (2) years of multidisciplinary surgical instrumentation experience in a high-volume sterile processing environment is preferred. **Licenses/Certifications:** CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician), CRCST (Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician), or CHL (Certification in Healthcare Leadership) Certification through the IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) is preferred.
