Our Sterile Processing department wants to add a Sterile Processing Tech II to their great team. The Central Sterile Processing Department at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is dedicated to providing its customers with courteous and reliable service. Central Sterile Processing is responsible for the reprocessing of instrumentation and supply distribution for Surgical Services and other departments, such as Labor and Delivery and the Emergency Department. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including preparing equipment and supplies for use by the medical team, cleaning and sterilizing equipment and reusable supplies, assembling case carts/trays and performing direct patient care as needed. Responsibilities Assembles and processes instruments sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule. Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers. Follows proper techniques and procedures to ensure the integrity of the sterilization process. Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation according to manufacturer and industry standards. Transports patients with any necessary materials and documents to treat or diagnose. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience
