Serves as a subject matter/content expert for a particular process or area and a preceptor for new employees and learners. Use chemicals and appropriate PPE as established protocols and procedures. Maintains adequate inventory for assembly of instruments and equipment. Performs multiple tasks that assist in the daily operation of all units in all locations/sites, as well as being responsible for customer service._ **The value you’ll bring to the team:** · Receives soiled and contaminated instruments or equipment from surgery/Anesthesia/nursing units. · Appropriately prepares, cleans, and disinfects instruments and equipment. · Inspects all instruments and equipment for unacceptable conditions. · Prepares instruments and equipment for sterilization by assembling correct item and quantity. · Assist in pulling required trays and supplies for surgical cases. · Demonstrates dependability and flexibility in meeting scheduling needs of the department.
