Responsibilities
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for performing delegated activities to support the operating room and other areas requiring surgical instrumentation. They prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies, instruments for procedures. The Sterile Processing Technician cleans, packages, and processes surgical equipment and instrumentation, as well as inventory and storage of supplies.
Qualifications
Experience: No previous experience required.
Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
Nursing assistant, Central Supply, clerical or other health care experience preferred. Licensure & Certification: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required within 2 years of hire.
