The Sterile Processing Technician decontaminates surgical instruments and equipment as well as inspects and assembles surgical instruments, equipment, trays, and packs. Fills surgery case carts from predetermined listings. May deliver case carts to surgical floor. Assists in record keeping and monitoring equipment operations. Identify and reports supplies, equipment, and procedure problems. May assist in the orientation and continuing training of other Technicians. Capable of making department section decisions in the absence of a Lead.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of a formal Central Services Technician course or successfully challenged course test Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution 5 years related experience with surgical instrumentation in hospital sterile processing/central service environmentWhy Join Providence?
