Sterile Processing Technician — Central Supply Unit — Providence St. Mary Medical Center Walla Walla, WA

Performs all functions in Central Processing Department. Cleans, decontaminates, sterilizes according to unit needs and requests. Must take call on a rotating basis during hours the Central Processing Department is not open. Performs any other related duties as assigned such as: completes, records and reports all biological monitoring, and air removal tests. Periodic inventory inspections to maintain adequate stock and supply levels. Transports IV solutions and medications.

Shift details: This is a full-time, 1 FTE (40 working hours per week), variable shift position

Required Qualifications: 

National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire. OrNational Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Central Supply, Processing or CNA experience.
