There is an excellent opportunity to join SSL sterile services at an entry-level and receive world-class training to get you on to a defined career pathway. 

Working Pattern

Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week on: 
Monday-Wednesday at 7:00-15:00 and Thursday-Friday at 13:00-21:00 + availability for weekend/Bank Holiday cover. 

What is involved? Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables, instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards. Rigorously checking instruments, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments in trays to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards. Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment used in the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments. Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak). Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
