Overview Job Summary: The Stewarding Assistant Manager supports the Executive Steward in ensuring smooth operations of the Stewarding Department. This role oversees dishwashing activities, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance while promoting a safe, sanitary, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills to ensure team productivity and compliance with health and safety regulations. This will be a PM Managerment roles, weekend and holiday availiblity a must. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations: Supervise and coordinate stewarding team activities, including dishwashing, pot washing, and equipment storage. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, service areas, and back-of-house facilities. Oversee the proper use and care of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies. Team Management: Assist Executive steward with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Schedule and assign tasks to stewarding staff based on operational needs. Train, coach, and monitor performance of team members. Foster a positive and productive work environment, addressing staff concerns promptly. Safety and Compliance: Enforce adherence to local health and safety standards, including OSHA regulations. Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve cleanliness or safety issues. Assist with inventory and control of stewarding supplies and chemicals. Collaboration: Work closely with culinary, banquet, and food & beverage teams to support seamless operations. Participate in planning and executing special events or high-volume service periods. Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Executive Steward. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or culinary management is a plus. Previous supervisory experience in stewarding, kitchen operations, or a related field. Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene best practices, including EcoSure standards. Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory and scheduling software. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 50 lbs. or more and stand/walk for extended periods. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $19.00/Hr. - $24.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
