Stewarding Supervisor (Start Date No Earlier Than January 6, 2025)

Position Start Date No Earlier Than January 6, 2025

Assist in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, safety, and productivity within assigned areas. Supervise and support staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards. This role demands attention to detail, effective communication, initiative, teamwork, and punctuality. Essential duties include prioritizing and delegating assignments, monitoring task completion, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring proper equipment maintenance and use.

Qualifications: 

Previous stewarding experience in a high-volume hotel preferred.   

Ability to lift and move items weighing 40+ lbs 

Certification as ”Food Service Manager” or other, as required by State County or Local regulations.

Basic English language communications required. 

Organizational and guest service skills 

Requires full availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities: 

Prioritize and delegate work assignments to staff and ensure completion of daily tasks. 

Interact with culinary, banquet, and other managers to meet operational needs. 

Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area. 

Assist with organization of food and beverage equipment and supplies. 

Train and evaluate staff, including conducting pre-shift assessments. 

Ensure proper setup and stewarding for functions. 

Attend and prepare for daily meetings and assist with stewarding purchases. 

Attend required hotel meetings and training sessions.

Comply with health and safety regulations, policies, and department standards. 

Reports unsafe working conditions to Leadership. 

Intercedes and/or fills in for Team Members should need occur. 

Cooperate and support safety efforts across kitchen and hotel areas. 

Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times. 

Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance. 

Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees. 

Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards. 

Remains current with hotel information and changes.
