About the function Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. It’s an intricate and sophisticated operation that’s the product of logistical, manufacturing, and technical collaborations. **About the Role** To ensure effective execution of stock movements (all receipts and issue) into warehouse and into subcon vendor accounts. Responsible for ensuring compliance against all Diageo inventory controls and processes, Responsible for minimizing stock losses or damages (quality control, theft, losses etc.) This role is to support the Customer Service Manager in ensuring day to day MOVE operations as matters related specifically to the management of ‘co packers’ operations E2E – walls, wheels, governance, and compliance, including effectiveness and efficiencies. The role will include a high degree of system and transactional responsibilities on SAP Success in this role is measured through a clear set of KPI’s and performance targets. Due to co Packer ‘locations’ – the person may be required to travel and visit both co packers, suppliers, and customers as required by the business. **Location:** **1 x Johannesburg, Waterfall City** **1 x Cape Town, Stellenbosch** **Role Responsibilities:** **1. Inventory Management:** + Ensure accurate recording and tracking of all inventory movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers, in alignment with company systems and processes. + Conduct regular cycle counts to verify stock accuracy and promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies. **2. Goods Receipt (GR) and Verification** + Apply oversight to the goods receipt (GR) process for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, ensuring quantities and quality meet purchase order specifications. + Collaborate with co-packers and warehouse teams to confirm receipts are accurately recorded in the system. + Address and resolve any GR-related issues, such as missing documentation, quality non-conformance, or quantity mismatches. + Ensure all stock movements comply with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. **3. Stock Reconciliation** + Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations, comparing physical inventory with system records. + Identify and resolve discrepancies, escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate manager or team. + Ensure proper documentation and reporting of reconciliation activities and outcomes. **Excellence in Supply Chain**   + Previous experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably within an FMCG, manufacturing, or warehousing environment. + Proficiency with inventory management systems or ERP platforms such as SAP, WMS systems etc. + Familiarity with inventory tracking methods, including barcoding or RFID technology + Hands-on experience with goods receipt processes, including inspecting and verifying incoming materials. + Previous collaboration with co-packers, production teams, or suppliers in inventory workflows. + Problem-solving skills to address GR issues such as mismatches, damaged goods, or documentation errors. + Experience conducting regular stock reconciliations in a high-volume environment. + Exposure to resolving stock discrepancies and performing root cause analysis **Leadership Capabilities:**   + **Win through Execution** - Lead bold execution in a fast-moving world  + **Inspire through Purpose** - Amplify our purpose internally and externally  + **Shape the Future** - Create focus and ownership for shaping Diageo’s future ambition  + **Invest in Talent** - Harness the full extent of Diageo’s talent and diversity **Experience / skills required:** + Relevant degree/diploma, preferably in the field of Supply Chain Management. + Min 12 months Functional expertise in warehouse stock management + Good command of English (written and spoken) + High computer literacy (SAP an advantage) + Good numeric skill set and high-level data accuracy. **Flexible Working Statement:** Flexibility is key to our success.
