Stock Controller
Your mission:Manages and plans yearly stock take based on number of materials on SAPAdvises and Instructs Stores Supervisor to allocate Stores Personal to perform stock takingMaintains stock count plan on spreadsheet and SAPMonitors and analysis progress and gaps , ensuring corrective action is takenExamines and Compares actual stock levels to SAP stock levels and investigates variances by trouble-shooting and looking at outstanding reservations not processedCompiles discrepancy forms for sign off with relevant documentationsEnsures all SAP processes are fully completed and all documentation are filled accordinglyDistributes RB01 stock variance report to Stores Supervisor and the Stores Manager and advising on possible outcomes and solution development if requiredResponsible for stocktaking administrationRuns adjustment reports per month and evaluates before submitting to the Stores Manager Conducts and verifies spot counts on materials daily receiving, binning and issuing materialsAssists Engineering Stock Buyer to follow up all open orders by contacting suppliers and compiles a report from SAP including supplier comments, when requiredConducts assessment of stock control level and troubleshooting (SAP vs Inbound physical stock) by analysing and interpreting SAP reports, POD’s (proof of deliveries), actual mill levelsOperates forklift to load, off load and dispatch all items when requiredMonitors and maintains the safety when issuing heavy equipment to end usersDirects the workshop and other departments with the removal of spares to and from the storesCompletes a daily checklist as per training when operating a stores vehicle and reports any damages to the SupervisorAuthorises controls access and movement of supplies transport on the premises whilst monitoring safety at all timesMaintains and ensures compliance with the environmental legislation, regulations, standards and proceduresComplies with company internal safety rules & regulationsInvestigates and Reports all safety incidents to Supervisor/Safety RepPerforms all safety checks when handling materials and stores equipment before useCarries out any other reasonable task as instructed by Line ManagementEstablishes relevant order information of items that are out of stockExtracts supplier particulars from SAP and refer information to procurement to expediteLiaises and provides feedback to requestor and confirm timeous deliveryEnsures ensure the availability of required stock at all times, through an understanding of business needs, effective management of stock levels and storageMaintains optimum stock levels in accordance with Company inventory management policySets and maintains appropriate standards, limits and controls reporting systemsManagers new Projects (New binning areas, relocation of spares)Your profile:A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the store’s environmentWarehouse Management or Recognised Stores Management DiplomaSupply Chain Management qualification would be an advantageSAP experienceWarehouse Management experienceOur offer:Location: Travancore Drive, Merebank , 4052Duration: Permanent Benefits: Health benefits Learning & Development Get in touch:
