Purpose: This position performs a variety of duties as assigned to receive, store, or select in process parts/ items, materials and supplies involving in-plant material handling. Responsibility includes the operation of lift trucks for internal pickups/ deliveries. Responsible for monitoring inventory levels, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring efficient stock management. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent: Perform Stock Room duties within the business ERP system. Physical handling: determine, place into designated bins, racks, or other storage; vendor items received or in-process parts, subassemblies and related components. · Promptly, properly process stock requests. · Complete material withdrawal slips. · Make identification labels as required. · Locate, select and provide requested items. · Perform cycle counts; accurately record, maintain update file information as assigned. · Complete and pass along paperwork to others as required. · Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations including laws relative to operation of company vehicles on local roads or highways. · Assemble in staging area or move a wide variety of stock items to various workstations. · Receive and stock manufactured and purchased goods. · Exercise care to avoid mixing and damaging parts handled. · May perform minor packaging and/ or loading. · Obtain signature record or process paperwork as prescribed. 80% RCI - Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain efficiency, identifying areas for cost reduction and process optimization. Participate in regular inventory audits to maintain data accuracy and compliance. 10 % Occasional Responsibilities [Listed Below] 10 % Occasional Responsibilities: · Assisting Planning department with basic data processing responsibilities to complete job creation and execute work for the floor to process and other investigative activities. · Assist Purchasing department with basic data processing responsibilities to enable buyers to make more quick and informed procurement decisions. · Assist Shipping & Receiving departments with tasks as needed. Requirements & Education: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 year in a warehouse/ distribution center environment or equivalent experience. Must have a valid driver’s license. Applied knowledge in cycle counting and inventory systems. Syteline 9 or other MRP system experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Team player. Problem solver. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data integrity. Problem-solving skills to address inventory-related challenges effectively. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Knowledge and Skills: Mechanical: Ability to safely use pallet jacks, and other material movement devices. Mathematics: Basic math skills required; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute percentages. Technical: General knowledge of computers and business ERP systems. Able to use Microsoft email and Office products. Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external contracts. Ability to problem solve/ resolve cross functional issues and maintain good relationships. Computer Skills: Experience with Inventory Control Systems. Basic understanding of Microsoft office. Timely response to emails and understanding the functions of Outlook email system. Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a warehouse/ distribution center environment or equivalent experience. Financial Responsibility: Assisting in the upkeep of physical inventory levels. Work Environment: Primarily semi-temperature controlled, indoor production environment. Well-lit and well ventilated. Exposed to production shop hazards including heavy equipment, shop traffic, uneven/ slippery footing, sharp metal edges, etc. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather. Production shop requires appropriate safety measures such as safety toe shoes and safety glasses. Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk, stoop, kneel, crouch Frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse. Regular lifting, push, pull, etc. up to 50 lbs.
