Storage Architect

Bracknell - Hybrid (3-4 on site, 1-2 remote, must be flexible)

The role holder may manage a small/medium design team. They are a competent design authority on larger or more complex solutions, demonstrating an understanding of the customers’ business and commercial issues. They identify, design and deliver larger or more complex architectures, strategies and specific solutions. 

Responsible for the design and communication of high-level structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that within a “Bid type” team to understand customer requirements and translating into coherent designs and ROM.

The project uses many agile processes but can be flexible depending on the delivery so an understanding of multiple methodologies will be required.

Mandatory skills:

•This role requires significant expertise with designing and implementing enterprise storage solutions, very likely based on Netapp technology however experience of other alternative Storage technologies would be useful to analyse the best option for APC

•How the storage architecture will need to fit in with the wider technology stack, likely based on Juniper, VM Ware, Primergy Servers and Rancher Kubernetes.

•Working with storage solutions that cover S3, NFS, iSCSI and SMB shares

Attend any regular JIRA “ceremonies” or other project meetings to communicate and input from a Test perspective
