Storage Engineer – responsible for both NetApp and EMC storage platforms 1) Vmware with Dell servers connected via SAN (Brocade) to EMC Clarion 2) Netapp gear connected via SAN (Cisco) to Dell gear 3) Environment is primarily windows clusters with MS SQL databases 4) Vfiler & CIFS management 5) Snapmirror Other key desirables
• Maintain and operate multi-tier and multi-vendor storage systems
• Troubleshoot and resolution of issues
• Storage provisioning and reclamation
• Document and diagram system functions and specifications
• Plan for capacity and performance & predict trends and requirements for future growth
• Create vFilers and CIFS shares or NFS mounts for different departments on NetApp
• Set up disaster recovery using NetApp SnapMirroring technology between multiple datacenters
• Connect servers to NetApp and EMC storage LUNs via fiber channel, and iSCSI
• Support for VMWare systems on EMC and NetApp storage both fiber and iSCSI
• EMC Clariion using storage provisioning, raid groups, and storage pools
Work Environment:50-150 Controllers, 72+ Hosts, 1PB+ Storage, MSFT, Linux, SAN-FC, 7-Mode, Exchange, Oracle, SQL, SnapMirror
