Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage and Infrastructure Administrator to join our hybrid client/CGI team. The candidate needs to hold a current higher level clearance and be able to work on client in London 5 days a week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing storage platforms to support and decommission two critical IT platforms built on Cisco FlexPod CVD patterns. This role demands a thorough understanding of various storage technologies, systems administration, and the ability to operate effectively within a structured project management framework.
Responsibilities:
• Storage Platform Management: Oversee the maintenance, performance, and reliability of storage platforms, including NetApp ONTAP, Synology, and Scality Ring. Ensure optimal operation and uptime of storage systems.
Platform Decommissioning: Lead efforts to decommission legacy IT platforms with minimal disruption to services. Ensure data integrity and compliance with organisational standards during the decommissioning process.
Task Package Execution: Work on task packages allocated on a 10-week cadence from a backlog of deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• DNS Management: Administer and manage DNS infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure name resolution services.
• Service Mesh and Integration: Manage and maintain service mesh technologies, including Consul and Istio, to enhance service discovery, routing, and security. Ensure seamless integration of these services within the infrastructure.
Group Policy Management: Develop, implement, and manage Group Policies to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment. Ensure policies are effectively applied and updated as necessary.
• Systems Administration Expertise: Proficient in the administration and management of storage platforms, including NetApp ONTAP, Synology, and Scality Ring. Extensive experience in optimising and maintaining storage systems.
• Service Mesh Knowledge: Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies such as Consul and Istio.
• Data Flow Management: Proficiency in administering and managing Apache NiFi for data flow automation and management.
• Group Policy Proficiency: Strong understanding of Group Policy development, implementation, and management.
