Education

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience

 

6-9 years of hands-on experience in SAN and NAS administration.
Expertise in storage protocols such as iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, and SMB/CIFS.
Proficiency with enterprise storage platforms, including NetApp, Dell EMC (PMAX/Unity/VNX/PowerScale), HPE 3PAR, Pure, or Hitachi solutions.
Skilled in backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V, including their integration with storage solutions.
Good understanding of network infrastructure as it pertains to storage environments.
Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

 

Your Key Responsibilities
Storage Management

 

-Design, configure, and maintain SAN and NAS solutions.
-Monitor storage performance, utilization, and capacity.
-Manage storage zoning, LUN provisioning, and volume configurations.
-Oversee arrays from top vendors, such as NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, IBM, and Hitachi.
-Ensure data integrity through robust backup and recovery processes.

 

Infrastructure Support

 

-Conduct routine maintenance and system upgrades for SAN/NAS environments.
-Resolve complex storage-related issues, including performance and connectivity challenges.
-Collaborate with IT teams to support server, database, and virtualization platforms.
-Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

 

Performance Optimization

 

-Continuously monitor and optimize storage for high availability and reliability.
-Implement advanced storage techniques like deduplication and compression.
-Forecast storage needs to support future growth and capacity planning.
-Develop strategies for data archiving, tiering, and automation.

 

Documentation and Reporting

 

-Maintain detailed documentation of storage configurations and procedures.
-Create performance reports and capacity metrics.
-Recommend technical improvements and provide actionable insights for upgrades.

 

Preferred Skills and Certifications

 

-Certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator, Dell EMC Proven Professional, or HPE ASE Storage Solutions Integrator.
-Experience with cloud storage platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
-Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like PowerShell or Python.
